Kahlefeldt to be released from hospital

Australian Olympic triathlete Brad Kahlefeldt will be discharged from a San Diego Hospital tomorrow after extensive tests have cleared him of tuberculosis.

Nominees for marathon, men's 20km walk identified

Athletics Australia can today confirm that the following athletes have been identified for nomination to the Australian Olympic Committee in June, subject to them meeting ongoing form and fitness requirements, to compete at the 2012 London Olympic Games in the men’s and women’s marathon, as well as the men’s 20km walk.

After suffering two defeats to the Germans in the London Invitational Tournament, the Kookaburras earned some measure of revenge when they beat the world’s second-ranked side 3-0 in their own backyard.
