  • Sam Willoughby

    Sam Willoughby

    Sam Willoughby won back-to-back Junior BMX World Championship titles 2008-2009 and has taken this blistering form into the senior ranks. Sam was ranked the World’s Best BMX rider at the end of 2010 and his soaring 2011 results have pulled Australia up to be the highest placed BMX nation. This form will help Australia qualify the maximum three male riders for the London Games and push for the podium. Sam currently trains in the USA.

    Elizabeth Cambage

    Rising basketball star Liz Cambage was number 2 in the 2011 WNBA draft and now plays in the USA for Tulsa Shock. The 19-year-old won the Most Valuable Player Award in the Australian WNBL and took the Bulleen Boomers to their first ever Premiership in 2011. The Opal’s Olympic line-up is shaping to be one of the strongest in years with Cambage and Lauren Jackson both in the mix.

    Brendan Sexton

    Brendan Sexton is an up and coming star of Australian triathlon. The courage of the 25-year-old is undisputed, having recovered from major injury and a serious head on training crash last year Brendan has had a brilliant start to the year, winning his first World Cup title in Monterrey, Mexico in May. Brendan will be racing throughout the world in the lead up to London to chase a qualification place for Australia.
