Interesting Facts

  • Daniel Repacholi showed he had a bright future in the sport of shooting when he became the first Australian to claim all of the Junior National pistol records in 2000 - air pistol, free pistol, standard pistol, centrefire pistol and sports pistol.
  • Having recorded his best World Cup result in 2003, when he claimed bronze in the 50m pistol in Sydney, Repacholi made his debut Olympic Games in Athens, 2004. Competing in the 10m air pistol and the 50m pistol, he claimed 36th and 23rd respectively.
  • Repacholi went on to compete at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne where he and partner David Moore took gold in the 50m pistol pairs event and bronze in the 10m pistol pairs. The two medals capped off a strong campaign for Repacholi who missed a bronze in the 10m air pistol by 0.4 of a point and came 11th in the 50m pistol.
